2006 Mitsubishi Lancer K&N Short Ram Intake

1. At first glance, the engine looks huge, but that's just the plastic bits. We start by taking off the cover, and the entire intake system.

2. Once all the plastic is removed, there's quite a lot of room left in the engine compartment.

3. This is the K&N short ram for the lancer. The tubing is 3" for maximum flow volume and a straight shot into the throttle body.

4. This is the entire convoluted intake system. The smallest part of the system is actually the ram air inlet.

5. A reducer hose was used to fit the short ram intake tube to the throttle body.

6. The bracket on the tube bolts to the stock intake box bracket.

7. The last step is to bolt on the K&N filter.

8. A freer breathing engine means better fuel economy and more power.
