Honda
Jazz Tein Coilover |

1.
As with any suspension related mod, the wheels have to removed first.

2.
The Jazz uses conventional McPheron strut fronts...

3.
...and separate shock and spring in the rear.

4.
Here is the Tein coilover.

5.
The stock shock and spring is placed in the spring compressor. We don't
need the shock and spring..

6.
But we do need the bushings and retaining nut for the coilovers.

7.
Use an Allen wrench and a regular open head wrench to tighten the nut.

8.
Don't forget the stock rubber cap.

9.
Now bolt up everything again nice and tidy. The plastic cap keeps dirt
from getting into the adjusting pin.

10.
The Tein coilovers come with a new stabilizer link as well.

11.
Here's the finished front coilover.

12.
The rear is a bit easier since the spring and shock are separate.

13.
Here we see that the Tein springs are shorter than the stock ones.

14.
Access the bushing nut behind the back seat.

15.
The shocks are then test fitted.

16.
Take this time to wipe off some crud from the spring mounts.

17.
A transmission jack is used to help push up the lower arm.

18.
Completed rear suspension.

19.
Adjust the ride height to your hearts content. The Tein coilovers can
be adjusted without having to take them out of the car. Better yet, get
them corner weighed for a perfect balance.
