Toyota Fortuner Bilstein shocks and H&R springs |

1.
Konis are great becasue they are adjustable for rebound damping, meaning
you can alter the ride quality between firm and soft.
|

First order of business is to remove the stock shocks from the rear...
|

...and from the front.
|

The Koni shocks are inserts that slip on the stock shock housing. We happen
to have a spare shock housing lying around.
|

5.
We transfer the rubber spring mont form the old set to the new one.
|

6.
The H&R springs are then slipped over the shock.
|
|

7.
The spring hat is then placed on top and the shock nut tightened.
|

8.
The completed shock/spring assembly is ready to go in the front.
|

9.
Installation is reverse of removal.
|
|

10.
Slip the shock to the top of the mounting point under the hood.
|

11.
Three bolts hold the shock in place, while two below hold it to the arm.
|

12.
Here's the knob that comes with the Konis enabling you to adjust the shock
damping.

The rear shock and spring are a bit easier since they are separated.
|

14.
Here is the rear Koni shocks.

Insert the neccessary washers and bolts to the top of the shock.
|

Here is the completed H&R spring and Koni shock.
