Petron
Xtra Mile Challenge
A new fuel economy record was set on January 18 in the Petron
Xtra Mile Challenge Champions Edition with the winning car
logging in a total distance of 1,402.4 kilometers on one
full tank of Petron Xtra Unleaded.
Traversing the length of Luzon from Bangui just next to
the resort town of Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte, all the way
down to the southernmost tip in Matnog, Sorsogon, and then
turning around to stop in Bgy. Bonifacio in the town of
San Fernando, Camarines Sur, brothers Emilio "Tootsie" and
Emmanuel "Mansu" Zayco broke their own prior record in a
Honda Jazz 1300 automatic transmission sponsored by Honda
Cars Kalookan.
By
optimizing the superior fuel economy formulation of Petron
Xtra Unleaded and the CVT (continuously variable transmission)
technology of the Honda Jazz, Team Zayco Hermanos was able
to reaffirm its dominance in Petron's iconic fuel economy
marathon run.
