SpeedLab Ford Focus 2.0L Turbo Kit

1. With its success in WRC, its only natural that the Ford Focus be boosted with a turbocharger. The 2.0L Duratec engine is built to take it. 2. The kit utilizes a GT28 turbocharger and our Type 2 Evo-sized intercooler.

3. Like most newer cars, the exhaust is located at the back of the engine. This is where the turbo will be located.

4. The SpeedLab kit comes with a cast iron manifold that bolts on. 5. Here the turbo is mounted to check for clearances. 6. The downpipe is then attached.

7. The intercooler and throttle inlet piping is then installed. 8. Most of the intercooler piping snakes under the car where its not seen. 9. The inlet pipe is then attached to the turbocharger.

10. Here are the oil feed, return and water lines for lubrication and cooling of the turbo. 11. Our kits come with either HKS or GReddy style blow off valves. You can opt for your own like this Sard R2D2. 12. The oil pan needs to be removed to make the return line. Good time also for an oil change.

 
13. Here's the completed turbo setup for the Focus. This is the exact same setup that will be used in the Mazda 3 2.0L. 14. The big intercooler is recessed well behind the bumper, a good thing for those who want that sleeper look.
